Delirium

Delirium

A Poem by Marvin Lewis Jr.
"

Just letting my imagination go!

"

Delirium

I want to swallow a cloud then tickle an angel and

watch it smile.

I want to spend one day in heaven,

just so I know when I have to leave I'll be returning

to earth speaking such things that no one has ever

imagined.

With the confidence Shakespeare couldn't fathom it,

a swagger fueled by a truth that this creativity is so

deep and Da Vinci only scratched the surface.

I'm standing at the threshold with my hand on the knob

behind the door brilliance and insanity are eating,

I walk in and with empty hands I take a seat,

I want to braid two weeping willows then tie a

crescent moon to each end and swing from a rainbow,

I want to talk to God of the startling colors I've

imagined then wake the next morning to a purple sun.

Spend the day watching the sunset being poured atop

trees and at night feel butterflies as the moon sits

on the ocean.

I fell in love with these lines, i think i want to marry them lol. I love when you let your imagination go, it allows me to read something both great and wonderful at the same time.

The imagery you create for your readers is leading...
...is calming
...is awakening
...you amaze me! You are able to write like this because the hand of God is upon you.
What a blessing! ******** I want to swallow a cloud then tickle an angel and watch it smile.*********

very interesting. the sort of thoughts that came out here. all the desires and imaginings.

shows a lovely expression of appreciation for life and its wonders. at least thats what i see in it. the desire to experience to such great extent.

my favorite part is probably the beginning because of the imagery and it just flows so beautifully.
the middle part intrigues me, as if i can't quite figure it out

beautiful
