LessonsA Poem by sheila lottA dedication to my kidsThese are the people that changed me. These are things that saved my soul. The birth of my first son,I was sixteen. He was the most amazing being I had ever seen. He was the first man to ever steal my heart. He was my salvation. He as a tiny little boy made me stand tall. He made me accountable. He loved me as mush as I loved him. The birth of my second son. He was the most beautiful baby. He had dark hair that fell upon his shoulders. He had the most amazing eyes. He was my biggest child. He is the one who taught me endurance. He helps me be a powerful mother. He loved me as much as I loved him. The birth of my third son. He was so sweet. He had a face of a angel. He was sick at first. He needed me all the time. He taught me Patience. He is who makes me a caring soul. He loved me as much as I loved him. The birth of my daughter. She was the hardest. She survived when two others died in my womb. She was so tiny. She was stunning. She is who taught me understanding. She makes me a better person. She makes me have faith. She loved me as much as I loved her. © 2008 sheila lott |
