I fight

I fight

A Poem by sheila lott

I fight because the cycle ends here

my boys will not be abusive men.

I fight so my daughter knows her worth

she will never know my pain.

I fight because my mother did not

because he broke her many years ago.

I fight because of my neighbor

who screams with fear at night.

I fight because of my friend

who thinks verbal abuse is harmless.

I fight for the child

who hides away in fear.

I fight because Iam a survivor

This is why I fight.

All important things to wage that personal war over. In a nice flow, you have spoken of your inner strength, as well as making issues known to the greater public that they really should take a good long look at, and see that what you speak is true!
Great Job!
