Already gone

Already gone

A Poem by Lauren

wednesday
when the purple rose to the surface
and acclimated itself
to the hue of her skin
and the rusted metal monster
collapsed high from its uneasy perch
into her nimble fingers
hammering life
into the numbness

i realize now, she said
(as brittle brown petals and blank blood fell)
i'm dying with my roses

I like it. I don't normally read poetry and couldn't write it to save my own hide, but I like this.

This poem created a very powerful image! I think the structure and the words you chose helped to create the image. Well written!
