Flatline

Flatline

A Poem by Aiden Christopher Pafford

Sitting in a hospital bed
brought back from the dead
miracles sometimes are bad
Your lucky 's what was said

the paddles are right next to me
incase I do flatline
hooked to machines to monitor
this curse I call my life

beep beep beep beep
I hear it night and day
bringing me insanity
will it just go away

the silence needs to claim me
the paddles need go cold
so I can finally flatline
and this life soon fade away...
