Am I Worth It

Am I Worth It

A Poem by Aiden Christopher Pafford

Am I worth a smile

am I worth a kiss

am I worth a moment

of eternal bliss

am I worth a melody

am I. Worth your. Heart

am I worth it really

or should we just part

the heart ever growing

yet seems to cause you great pain

the. Bloodflow the crying

driving. Me so insane

so tell. Me for certain

am I worth it be true

them I will chance it again

because my dear I love you.

This seemed sweet and innocent to me, a young lover asking if their partner cares for them enough to give them all their love. The punctuation and capitalization is all over the place though, which messes with the meter of the poem, so I would suggest going back and fixing it. A lot of those periods are not at the ends of sentences, and I think when you fix the periods you will know what should and should not be capitalized. Also in the line "yet seems to cause you great pain" it seems like it is one syllable too long, so maybe just take out the word "you" or tweak it in some other way. Other than that, it was a really good write and an enjoyable read. Keep it up.
