Poet's Battle

A poem competition I was in and this is the first poem that came to my mind:)

Trying to make a simple friend.

Want something that's pure so it won't end.

Honest with a good heart.

That's me and this is just the start.

People who likes to be cruel.

We will walk the line to have a one man duel.

And one will come out on top.

And it will be me for my battle won't stop.

I write my poetic verse wearing a bullet proof vest.

Because you can't rhyme with a slug in your chest.

So when you read your poem aloud.

Do you even hear a sound.

You better not be like the rest.

Or I will be claimed as the best.
