Never love the loverA Poem by ron s kingAs a romantic poet, I wonder if one should never write of love's reality. The romantic poet has no time for a shared romance because all emotions are within the write.NEVER LOVE THE LOVER.
Soft hand does hold the poet's polished pen, And tender are the very words he wrote. But trust not the lover, worst of all men, Let emotions hie the road of love, take note, For if the poets pen make's fair heart tame, Then you lose and lover wins the game.
Never trust the lover who wears secret smile, Or whispered words that he so gently spoke, Stealer of hearts who pens such sweet style, Mending none of all those he gently broke. Curse you your folly and rend hearts cry, If your heart-beat stops when lover goes by.
Cheat is this crafter of such magical myth, Who blinds those eyes with such gifted tune. Subtle are the words from emotional stiff, No light from a sky full of cloud-hidden Moon. Harden your heart and be deaf to siren's call, Then you'll find no love's hurt, nothing at all. © 2014 ron s kingReviews
