Oil-Drops in Water.

Oil-Drops in Water.

A Poem by ron s king
"

A 'Nearly' Sonnet. I call the write a 'Nearly' Sonnet because, while it contains the three quatrains and each line containing ten syllables, I do not follow the rules of 'Iambric Pentermetre'.

"
OIL-DROPS IN WATER.

Is not love a joy’s colourful mixture
The soul, a darling’s empty container
A soul jar which contains the elixir
The base of love and real sustainer

To the jar is poured water’s emotion
Infused are the sweethearts, melody's oil
Red and blue, added to the solution
Heated in passion and brought to a boil

Love becomes a royal purple when mixed
To condense and drift upwards to the air
A beauty of love’s drifting, sweetly fixed
And up to the heavens floats this affair

Love, in its mix, is a sweet appearance
And oiled to a pleasing experience
