A 'Nearly' Sonnet

LOVE’S SOFT BLOOM.

Love is not fired, an immediate flare
That bursts into an automatic blaze
Love is more a companionship affair
A friendship’s start, a developing phase

Love is a flower and from seeded birth
To flourish in a comfort’s holding grace
A sweetening, precious within the earth
To mature gently, not a lusting pace

Let love take it’s time, generous allow
There will be a lifetime of precious hours
More to happiness will dear love endow
Beautiful will grow the garden’s flowers

Love, in its joy, is to a soft bloom’s laze
All to a world will see a future’s blaze
