OF PRIDE.

What flamboyancy is this indulgence
That a proud nature is Peacock’s showing
What gives rise to humility’s absence
To import such self-importance, growing

This enthusiasm for a strutting dance
Is to a style of pure grandiloquence
It’s a natural swell, is some advance
Of pride, not exaggerate’s evidence

Over-proud can be love gone overboard
Pride has its place in creativity
But what is created is to accord
Of pride in its sweeter simplicity

Pride in its humble is an endearing
All charming are they who have this bearing

Mr. King, I think you hit the nail in the marching order to drive it into the wood. Nice work and I enjoyed it.
