I saw you for a first time… And life shuddered, the lift stopped its climb So that I obeyed the darling pause Which had my eyes take a thousand pictures In a blink and my mouth opened To emit bubbled words which were blank Breathe, breathe damn you Breathe the air, otherwise I die for want of her
I don’t know you but should I kiss you once Then would all convenience of the world That is to an advantage and known to me Become a paled and losing knowledge For your kiss would lose me all rational sense And would I enter a new dimension A climate of passion’s exhilaration
You smile at me… Now the lift climbs again, life accelerates And I am in your scent, breathing you in To a depth of imagination’s allowance Which illuminates my senses And will leave a dearest lasting impression Of what love is all about, this wonderful know This love at first sight
There is an urgency to your words that is so honest...as if you wrote this in the moment! "In a blink and my mouth opened to emit bubbled words which were blank" Oh yes, I can identify with that line. Your mind is taken over by your heart and all you can do is remind your lungs to breath and your legs to step! Filled with desire and romance, this was a pleasure to read, Ron. Lydi**
