YOU   ARE LOVED… AND YOU LOVE.

Love has no sudden knowledge
No thunder’s storm in manic rage
It comes in a whispered sentence
Red silk words on a silver page
Love is a gentle and breathless sigh
Which stalks the mind in slowing gait
Creeping into dear consciousness
White chalk writes on grey mind-slate
And it writes…
‘You are loved… And you love.’

No rose has more sensual scent
Nor mind wakened to such desire
Knowledge of love, in full content
Heated realisation of this truth’s fire
Graphic statements on a blue wall
Hellenic writing on stones torn apart
Runic blessings from ancient worlds
Gold plumes which write on a sacred heart
And they write…
‘You are loved… And you love’.

Walk you a sweet dream into the sky
Through heather on a highland day
Takes notes from a Piper’s sad lament
The juice from red violets in fields of grey
See bluebirds write words on the wing
Emblazon gold on a board of blue
Close up your eyes to read the words
You are not blind to what seeps through
These written words…
‘You are loved… And you love.’
