Firebrand full of

Malcontent

Pound fists

To the onyx

Sky

 

Chanting with vulgar

Veracity

A firestorm lighting the

Night

 

Destructive notations burn

Bright

Sizzling the cool

Air

 

We shall never cower

We must stand to

Fight

 

Sparks shower

Below

As an inferno

Rages

 

Government trying to

Control

As protests become

Courageous

 

An intense firestorm

Blazes

For freelance freedom

Is at stake

I'm not disrespecting this poem because I love it but from all the writings I've read over the past twelve hours, "onyx sky" seems to be an overused phrase, though descriptive. Other than that, I loved this poem. Powerful with its foresight of the future coming to past with the government, wising of people who've had enough. J'adore! -Ian
