Write me into a chapter

Of your intriguing life

Even if it is only

One line or two

 

Create one word

That has meaning

That only I shall know

Letting a bright smile

Form on these lips

In the euphoric afterglow

 

Scribble me into

A place within your

Intriguing beating heart

So I know not all

Was in vain

 

Tattoo me onto

Your paper of life

Letting world know

That I am a friend

And am real

So that I can

Accept how I feel

 

Find a place

For me to fit

Within your amazing

Pages of your journey

And just once

Draw your hand holding mine

Thank you. Lately I have been revisiting older poems. I wrote this one over a year ago. There was great longing and a need for affirmation but life has moved forward and I am glad to say I have a wonderful man in my life. The person this poem was written about has remained a dear friend for that is all we shall ever be. All I want it to be.
