Ink With E.H.A Poem by Poetic Beautyfor a challenge in creative poetry and yes that would be E.H. MonroeAs I walked through the
door The buzzing reached my
ears Thick smoke filled the
air I guess the No SMOKING
sign Didn’t apply Then I was handed a beer In the center of the room Sat Mr. Monroe himself Smoking a cigarette Yelling Cheers. I thought to myself For a moment Then started To back out the door When his voice yelled Get back here! I froze where I was
standin’ Looking around the room Floor litter with drawing
paper Bottle of Jack Daniels Properly placed on the
counter Soda cans scattered
around I guess when your outta
coke Pepsi will have to do. My first thoughts Were run like hell His scar was bleeding And looked a little
bruised Oh, Hell What had I gotten myself into? I sat down beside him That’s when the shots Began My vision became blurry As the liquor Went to my head Next thing I knew He had the tattoo gun in his hand I woke to sight Of a naked lady And a dragon Laying in the sand For my first tattoo Isn’t this grand I pulled down my shirt And threw money On the table He whispered In my ear COME AGAIN Then smiled With a toothy grin. © 2012 Poetic BeautyFeatured Review
