Butterflies of a different Kind

not about the insects

Butterflies soar when

Syllables form together

Making a name

Fluttering with excitement

Deep inside the body

With elation

 

The brain sends

Endorphins

Causing a euphoric

Haze to cloud the

Once stale, stagnate mind

Creating daydreams

Of a different kind

 

One name

On the tip of the tongue

Sings with unique melodies

That float like clouds

Upon the midnight sky

Wrapping the body in

Satin delight.

 

Feathery touches

Trickle down

A receptive spine

As butterflies flutter

On the outside.
