Stag in the MoonlightA Poem by Poetic BeautyMoonlight shines on an open
pasture A graceful stag gallops with freedom Showing off his beauty and
power His pelt the color of whole
wheat flour Lowering to his goddess in
white Bowing before with submissive
respect In awe of his fair maiden of the hunt Showing adoration with a soft
grunt With a Quiver of arrows on her
back Long flowing hair swirls in
the breeze She bends gently stroking his
soft hide Emotions sing as their
thoughts collide Beguiling Artemis of the night Showers her pet with loving
care As loneliness plagues her
inside Only in animals can she
confide When the gods mingle it is
never good For destruction comes with
immortal power So with stubbornness she
remains alone Her love for a man will never
be shown. © 2011 Poetic BeautyFeatured Review
