Galvanized steel of the heart solidifies

Oppressive regret that pulses deep within

Liquid nitrogen flows through the midnight blue veins

Arctic soul becomes paralyzed with fear

Reflective anguish leers back from the mirror

 

Vivid scene of splendor dances metallically

Magical moments under the stars, evaporate

With glittering remorse seeping through skin pores

 Consuming the being with frozen memories

The past sparkles with a fierce scarlet passion

 

Ecliptic euphoria shines at midnight

A melodic tune of passion begins to sound

Extravagant lust shown in the mocking mirror

Eccentric ballet of sinful devotion twirls

Graceful with desirous moves of love

 

Immediate waves of sorrow gleam in the light

An ocean of turmoil crashes on the heart’s shore

A watery grave of the past displayed

Meandering softly through the mind with thorns of loss

 Pricking a sensitive organ’s soft membrane

 

Heart’s mirror splinters into a million tiny shards

An angry boot stomps across the reflective glass

Kicking, scattering the pieces into the moonlight

Sparkling like glitter on the horizon

Destructive behavior eases the misery

Remorse consumes your being with frozen memories......Turmoil crashes onto the shores of your heart in waves of sorrow. The heart hardened by regret becomes brittle and is shattered into a million pieces by your own destructive behavior. Intense and powerful.

ooo "Liquid nitrogen flows through the midnight blue veins" - love that line - the idea of midnight blue veins carrying nitrogen? great stuff! this is a well constructed poem - with great imagery and cadence - nice job!

Wow. Now this is one pretty impressive piece!! I love the imagery in it. There are some absolutely amazing lines too. I absolutely love it. One of the best pieces of work i have read for some time.
