Tattooed Emotions on Paper

for creative poetry

A poetic covenant written in tattooed ink

Glistening words etched on the avid heart

Flowing through veins without a navigational chart

Literacy emanating in vibrant scarlet red

Thoughts emerging swirling in the creative head

 

Expressions surging across the grey matter

Producing colorful polka dot splashes

Artistic thoughts ignites electric flashes

Bolting over the imaginative mind

Slashing at realities gripping confines

 

Adamance for the melodic lettered notes

Flares in the eccentric resonating soul

Leaving gauche addle minded people out of control

Verbalizing creativity to those who understand

Reaching out with innovative gifted hands

 

Prolific imagery sings to the poetic masses

Strumming a rhyme on inventive pages

As metaphoric phrases are released from cages

Tattooed emotions produced on paper

Encompassing the being like water vapor.

I could spend a lot of time on the title alone...The idea of an emotion being tattooed is very good. The flow of this piece had me going, and the line which struck me here most especially was,
