WC's Battle Cry

WC's Battle Cry

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

A cry to arms echoes creatively

Spreading across the mythical realm

With visionary general OT at the helm

Imagery flies across the white screen

As stunning talent burst at the seams

While Muse passes secret messages

To each member in the poetic war

Swords slashing popularity at its core

Duplicate profiles will be torn down

Imagination the victor wearing the crown

Genius metaphors fall from the sky

As monroester thunders his booming voice

Where reading crapocalypse is a choice

Slinging slimy words into the daunting night

Allowing brilliance to soar in flight

A claymore wielding poetic beauty

Swings her words across the page

At inconsiderate teens, with fire and rage

Dedicated writers take a verbal stand

Stabbing with pens and notebooks at hand

We are here with ideas to convey

Not to cheat and bribe our way to the top

This multiple personality profiles must stop

Battle screams for love of the word

Resound our passions need to be heard.

there are many I wanted to mention in this poem but that would have taken forty pages so simply know you are all thought of as talented.

Very skillfully penned stanzas PB. I see you have given this poem an airing from when it was first posted thirteen years ago. Much before my time, but a reminder perhaps that things haven’t changed a great deal. I guess life moves in cycles. A wonderful arousing battle cry from your talented pen.

This really made me want to actually go buy some sort of battle axe and run rampant in the street, half naked, yelling blasphemies and shitting in mailboxes.
You manage to, without draining it in weak transparent images, tell the story have it make sense and STILL create something seperate than just a poem.

Bravo..now about those mailboxes...

YES!!! Greatly said! In this war upon the trite and mundane, many pens have joined forces and shall slay the unworthy back into the darkness (where print cannot be read). LOVE this!

=D We're calling to arms to wage the war. Poor OT doesn't quite know his rank I don't think! Nicely done

This is an amazingly structured hit! Gets the eyes open in the morning! lol
If there is to be a war, what better way than with words? Wish it was like that in other cases too!
Stunning work love!

Picturing you with a claymore is just a hilarious image, just so you know. I certainly enjoyed this one more than I usually do poems, though I suppose that's always been true of your work. The rhyming feels really natural, which is nice, because I'm pretty sure that's one of my most comment complaints with you, and it flows well.

Battle on!

I believe there is no best or worst in poetry. I have been reading poetry for 40 years. Some of the great Poets I did not like. It is my option to read or not. There is no need for competition on a Poetry site. We are here to learn. There are 14 year girls with more skill then I have. I'm thankful to be able to read her words. Life need to be to look for "the good in things." I agree with your view.
