Humanly Correct

Humanly Correct

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

humanly correct not politically correct

We all bleed scarlet red

Blood pulsing in our veins

Every person feels pain

And cries salty tears

When sorrow is near

We all need air to breathe

Saturating our two lungs

While heart beating has begun

Kidneys filter our blood

And thoughts in our mind do flood

So why does our color matter?

It is merely our skin

Why did this even begin?

We have two eyes to see

Look with your heart, my plea

Won’t we all be ashamed

When we see God’s marbled skin

With this insight the weeping will begin

Why can’t you humans see

You are all magnificent

In the fact you’re different

Every child needs love

Woman needs a hand to hold

A person with to grow old

Man needs a woman’s heart

Before completeness starts

We are all the same inside

One mind to form thoughts

On heart so love is sought

Two lungs in order to breathe

Tears allowing us to grieve

One nose for us to smell

Two ear in which to hear

So let go of anger and fear

Let your heart be your guide

And love will always be at your side

Won’t be all be ashamed

When we see God’s marbled skin

With this insight the weeping will begin

Why can’t you humans see

That you all are magnificent

In the fact you’re different

Few of us have power or titles, wealth or wisdom, but, what we do have is Self Unique.

Whereas your entire poem has great emotion and sincerity, this stanza says so much to me, ' We are all the same inside ~ One mind to form thoughts ~ On heart so love is sought Two lungs in order to breathe ~ Tears allowing us to grieve '

In the future all of humanity for all intensive purpose will be a tan color as we intermix our bloodlines.I think that will be to all our benefits

Your poem is spot on. I love the last stanza-- How insight will be late. Can't we understand each other now?

i love it, the way the words flow together:) my favorite line is " Woman needs a hand to hold" stanza 5. it's true in so many ways but we also want a man to hold us at night and tell us everything will be ok even when we know it wont be. and the children need love to line is amazingly tru cause i got a beautiful baby sister that only has one parent because the other one was to into themselves that they didnt even think to love her... all in all this was an amazing poem, i love it :) :) :) :)

Humanly correct is not the same as politically correct. I believe that humanly correct is when we accept others difference and move forward with sorting the common factors rather than sorting the differences. I read the article of John McCann request for the pardon of great legend Jack Johnson of an injust that he suffered for the love of his wife who was a white prostitute. He married her and took her across state line and was charged. His record remains as is to this date.

It is true, we are all the same inside and we are all what makes us humans in the long run. A lot of people forget this and its important to remind us. Thank you for this, nicely done!

I can hear the gnashing, as I rouse from my sleep grinding my teeth…The message is heard, and felt; God made us all, all who we are different and yet alike in his image…

Great Write!

A tremendous message the poet has delivered here. Our differences make us interesting but our sameness makes us equal. Very well penned.
