Defeated Pain

Defeated Pain

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

Composed in a bold owning the world way

High heels feverishly clicking on the concrete

In control she owns and dominates the day

Nothing fragile about this woman of steel

Ready to conquer whatever life throws her way

Refusing to be a coward and weakly kneel

Calm balmy air swirls settling her nerves

Sun shining down warming the heart and soul

No longer ashamed of her generous curves

Languid movements are her chosen style

Pushing away the cruel jaded memories

Leaving behind the twisted corrupt trials

Looking forward to a fresh new beginning

With inner confidence and a fiery spark

Triumphs revealed peace she is winning

Time is mending past sorrowful pain

Her heart healed ready to feel again

The yearning has been defeated and slain.

Kristina, this whole writin stuff is liking you isn't it? And we're liking it too for the way it has transformed you into this more confident and sure woman. I'm really happy about that. We all search and stumble for ways to express the weight of the world in our arms, its always nice to see when someone can use that expression to show kindness and inspiration to others. This is what you've become, and what you do. You keep on chipping away at that opaque crystal sphere okay that we all have that pens and impounds us, its always there regenerating itself, but now and then we hit it just right and the light brilliantly comes streaming in...

Brilliant poem of a womans triumph over her own insecurities, no woman should ever feel ashamed of her curves, I blame the media for this foolish and stupid picture of a perfect woman being undernourished and sickly.

This has a positive airy quality to it. The flow was so superb that I didn't even notice the rhymes:)

Time has a way to distance the pain when a person is ready to let time win by letting go of hurtful memories. Your poem displays strength almost a rebirth
into a new world full of potential love. It also indirectly shows the destructive
powers of love as she has to regain her confidence and pose, once stripped from her in love.

Excellent Poem.

This is doing battle with the prose. Your poems win on merit and creation. "Time is mending past sorrowful pain"
and just when it does heal, the breaks and craks come again in bunches.
Of just the visual of the sun shining down directly on the heart and soul..
these are little bits of brilliance my dear

I don't want to make your reviews sound like a broken record but I also felt it was powerful. I can see the woman swishing her hair at the world, moving past it all. I enjoyed it.

I thought this was a bold statement about moving on with your life. Moving past " the cruel jaded memories" that seemed to linger with "the twisted corrupt trials" of a bad marriage. This gives me a hope that we as women (even some men) can get past the heartaches of the past!
