Reflection of the past

Thoughts of you crept into my mind today
With an overwhelming feeling of love
I send the splendor to you, and let it fall away

Memories slowly snuck up on my mind
Showing vivid paintings of the lost past
i sent the images to you and put them behind

A song filled my ears releasing warm tears
Causing an overflow of mixed emotions
I sent the music to you and held you near

Dreams of you floated with my sleep
Allowing me to smell your desirous scent
i sent you these movies from slumber for you to keep

Passion is still felt in the beat of the heart
Warm teardrops wash and revitalize the soul
But then deep within slumber the dreams do start

Love the flow of this.. not sure but I think the "I send, I sent" repeating sentiment really ties this all together... it is apparent with those closing lines in each stanza, that you wished for us readers to feel the reflective nature of this piece.. you nailed the mood, the feeling, perfectly conveyed... well done!
