This is actually and inside joke but it makes for a funny write either way. "never put your faith in Charming he always turns back into a frog."
Visions of frogs enamor my head Encasing vivid surreal dreams Leaping with dominance in my bed
Always bounding through my thoughts Croaking to gain my attention Closure never gained only sought Louder they sing within my brain Driving me crazy with the noise Creating feelings of complete disdain
Persistent with needing regard Why must they constantly pester me? Unfortunately dreams can't be barred
Swimming about my boring life Stealing away my tranquility Fueling emotions of hurt and strife
Green slimy suckers won't go away Pillaging slumber and alertness Causing laughter and disarray
Makes me think of nagging doubts that happens to have a raspy quality. Like the constant feeling of doubt or dread that you effectively laught at. A feeling of almost a second voice trying to pester you but you have moved beyond it. An ex or some subconsious terrorist.
Actually very charming.. I enjoyed your twist on words and sarcasm..
But, I think Coyote said it best.. We think we have a princess or a prince, but end up with a toad.. Enjoyed this..
Frogs need love too. Life like to twist- us up. We think we have a princess or prince. End up being a toad. I like your version better. Made me smile this morning. A outstanding poem.
