Angels' Musical Wings

Sitting outside on the swing and was inspired to write this.

Angels gracefully flap their feathered wings
Spreading them wide in the star filled night sky
Sounding like chimes floating on the wind, they sing

Gliding naturally on an enchanted night breeze
Searching for lost and abandoned mournful souls 
Hoping to inspire and grant peace, that will please

Moving through the blackish purple calm night sky
Destinations unknown till they hear, begging prayers
Eagerly they search and begin to gracefully fly

Invisible to humans limited simple sight
But flapping wings can be unknowingly heard
As rustling leaves in the trees when they take flight

Even if you don't believe in Angels you can tell me if you like the flow of the poem and the content. I however do believe.

Your stanzas are laden with beautiful imagery of the night. Angels bring us light when the darkness is too heavy. I have never seen an Angel other than the one on my Christmas tree, but there are people on earth who have certainly have an angel’s touch. An uplifting read.

I’m glad you liked this inspirational uplifting poem. It’s an older poem but I thought it was a good one for it is Good Friday. While I’m not catholic the day for me personally is an important one in my own beliefs

True. I especially liked the many paged stories on the New York earthquake, which mainly consisted of New Yorkers saying "Earthquake? I thought it was my stomach rumbling!"
Yet they still managed to fill a newspaper with it! 😃

That is funny. I don’t watch the new much maybe catch the headlines each day but today and yesterday were long days at work so I didn’t watch any tv. lol the new most days is doom gloom and politics which is a s**t show

Oh that was a cute ending didn't expect the connection between angels and nature and humans no less. It is a wonderful image you have of angels and how we can notice them even if we can't see them. Once again your form is great and your subject matter is different but wonderful.
