Blazing FireworksA Poem by Poetic BeautyA poem I wrote for Poetry and Lyrical Challenge group
Blazing colors illuminate the night sky;
Thunderous booms disturb the silence. Squawking birds begin to scatter and fly. Vibrant hues of every beautiful shade; Splash against the blacken velvet scene; Silently, the show is over and begins to fade. Smoke circles filling the stagnant cool air; As oxygen rushes from healthy lungs The heart descends, for he is no longer there. Dreams how deceitfully convincing they can be; For love once blazing with color and fire, Has escaped, showing the past, and leaving reality. © 2010 Poetic BeautyFeatured Review
