Aching Soul

When life's memories
Haunt you daily
And the pain overtakes
A smile how do you fake?

It becomes normal
Another reaction
Void are those green eyes
Inside the blue soul cries.

Tears trickle down
But no one sees
The black empty mire
That's numb to all life's desire

Where is passion
That use to be
Inner peace has drifted away
Without a hopeful lighted way.

You describe hidden depression so well. Anyone or most people can relate to this in some shape or form. I know I can and you described it perfectly. I like this stanzas:
