Flattery

Beautiful flattery soared in the air
Causing surges in emotions to rise
In the mind, words untangle and flair
Trying to decided if it's only flowery lies

The heart begins to quietly whine
As the words grow intense and winded
They tangle and twist like thorny vine
Causing the brain to be offended

The words are smashed and shattered
Leaving the truth exposed to the heart
Now it feels broken and battered
Seeing the ugly truth, instead of gorgeous art.

Thank you. I’ve have learned to look past flowery and flattering words. I believe in blunt honesty. Many however do not. You will get more from being crudely honest with me and showing me with untruths

ouch. they say that flattery will get you everywhere but it doesn't talk about what happens when you get where you were trying to go. the truth hurts - and its heavier.

100% flattery is only flowery words that have no meaning typically spoken when trying to obtain or lie a way out of something. lol or that is how it feels to me
