Daytime Chaos

Daytime Chaos

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

Sometimes the world is too loud
As chaos from noise consumes
The air vibrates with mixtures
Of congested sounds that vary

Voices scatter across the day
In all different vocal tones
An assault on ears that listen
As they ascend with rapid fire

People move with crazy ideas
In a manic state of hustle
That propels them at rushed speeds
Life pushes them with grand force

Too much fast paced commotion
Tramples the bright daylight hours
As it blinds the world with routines
That distract from needed peace

A top that spins too quickly
It goes around in circles
That make the stomach queasy
From the motion that sickens

Silently the brain screams within
As time ticks by in disarray
While the world bellows its need
To achieve a multitude of things

The mind patiently waits for night
When the octaves are lowered
To a tolerable volume
That the spirit can handle

the spinning top is a grand metaphor for your point. seems no one stops to smell the roses anymore. i hate when i'm driving and someone behind me is in a hurry and gets angry at me for not going faster because they are in a hurry to go nowhere. just because they are doesn't mean that i am. as my muse wrote long ago, "I was not born to be forced. I will breathe after my own fashion." - Thoreau

Humankind needs to remember why made a certain way: with a certain capacity to both give and take what is best to human nature is to make it happy, content, jubilant, calm, excited, adventurous, worthy, empathic, naive. knowledgeable.. In other words, the impossible saint in human clothing! Moments are available to one and all if only to slow down and not feel guilty; to hold hope in the palm of the hand and know that - upon a time a kiss laid there.

A sensitive.sensing being does have her work cut out for her in this noisy world. Loved the sublime reward at the end:) Wonderful write.

As I get older, it's much harder to take. sometimes I prefer to be with myself, lord knows there are enough voices in my own head to manage. Good writing!

Nicely expressed as the world turns into nothing but noise. Most times life has become filled with too much noise for me. ;-

I completely agree.
I like the spinning top, as the world goes around....on it's chaotic pace; especially during daytime hours when many of us are moving about, going to work, having lunch, biking through a park, scooting down a byway...this tumult hurts our psyche's..jumble of emotions ...drives us into insanity.... all of us need to find quiet, sometimes solemnity to gather our our thoughts in peace, perhaps even to meditate..."tto much fast-paced commotion".....very lovely write PB

beautiful writtig
This poet shows how much the world evolved and modern day, its harder to get peace until night time.

Again your use of descriptive words, enhanced the poem greatly..

Your use of metaphors here "A top that spins too quickly" to compare the world's pace to a dizzying motion.

Greatly inked

Night may wind us down or wind us up. I've always been a night owl. But it's the perfect time to write and ponder, I think. This was good, I enjoyed.
