Mysteries of the Night Sky

Mysteries of the Night Sky

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

The stars sparkle with wonder
As they shine ever so bright
Their light reveals a small glimpse
Of their vast knowledge and insight

A mystery plays on the stars
While the wind whispers secrets
It glides amongst the tree tops
A tune that calms, chaos within

Romance drifts across the brain
Pattern woven into the cells
A tangle of fiery forces
That engage the sleepy mind

A primal need arises
Beneath an indigo sky
Nerves set on rapid fire
As sapphire flames flicker and burn

Inner doubts quickly melt away
The turmoil becomes burnt ash
That scatters upon the wind
Only small fragments left behind

As desire calls from within
A blaze that lights the shadows
As it reaches crimson heights
ThT flutter with scarlet victory

really appreciate the colors .. especially this: "As sapphire flames flicker and burn" ... the night can hold all kinds of things, can't it!? the mystery deserves more attention than it gets says i .. i was outside early (4AM) with my dog and the darkness, i now realize, most always causes me to look for the stars .. such a vast expanse is meant to be mysterious says i!

Me too take care.
'As desire calls from within

Your final stanza goes 'pow! - reminding the reader that you have cleverly built up and up need and heat of emotions gone wild. I note you posted this in June.. just proves that mid-Summer can and does sizzle!

I love the night sky in all its mystery and beauty
Nature's passion ignited by starlight. A most sensuous and seductive poem of a most vivid nature. Loved the imagery in this one as it seemed to build from a spark to a glowing ember and then into a blaze. Beautiful.

Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed this poem.
Ah, a beautiful poem, PB. The night sky full of stars is a vision of the past. Scientists may continue to find more galaxies full of stars out there as the years unfold. Light pollution prevents me from seeing the stars the way I used to. But some still remain that I can see. The night sky is truly wonderful for those that appreciate it.

Great poem, PB.

The imagery of stars, wind, and fire conveys a journey from mystery and serenity to intense passion and ultimate triumph. Your use of nature to mirror inner feelings is both powerful and deeply moving.
