Out of Reach

Out of Reach

A Poem by Poetic Beauty
"

Shock 😮 for everyone

"
Thoughts violently dance about
Swaying then quickly shifting
A constant pushing and pulling
Overthinking is on display
Complete chaos at its devilish

The sensual spell now twisted
Wrapped in silvery tight thread
Smothering the deep fire within
Chaffing with its constricting hold
As its strings begin to cut in

A long night of self doubt rises
Without an answer in sight
Turbulent thoughts keep waving
Pounding on the distant shore
Scattering words across the sand

Some buried under wet grains
Others on tall tendrils of grass
Yet a few trapped on a dock
Scantly close but still out of reach
Taunting with glowing minimal hope

😯😯
What a write, filled with so much emotions that is tied to struggling internally,
Its a sad yet very frustrating thing, felt this in a deep level,
I can relate to overthinking so much at times, and not having a solution/answer, makes it harder.
A very emotion but powerful write.

Thought's running in mind but ruins the peace of your heart. Yes but we can't control our mind that easily as it's out of reach.

That's really cool
Insight and thoughtfulness holding the pen here. Whether it is the poet or writer who can let that pen run away with emotions is anyone's guess if vulnerability is hurt by a rebellious roar about the state of his or head head, wrapped for now from a quake ready to explode. You have written with veins open, seeping.. raw words displayed. I feel so sad for you.

Reminds me of a song by Sting titled "I can't stop thinking about you" To me the poem is speaking of the search for solitude and the ability to express thoughts, hopes and dreams or even worries and fears in a way that others will understand and know the feeling the other is experiencing. At least that is how I read it.

very well written. a plague of thoughts. too much thinking is not good. troubling when solutions seem "out of reach". strong imagery well described (maybe too well). ouch.

I am a lover of music. Tv is typically on for background noise lol
the best dance of the mind...is freeform...
just letting the thoughts dance about.
It is like the poem "Mind" by Richard Wilbur.
the thoughts beat about in a cave like bats...flittering about weaving...but never really slamming against a wall of conclusion...as Wilbur says.
Thoughts will find their way to the paper as poems if we let them breathe on their own.
Exceptional piece...in first line did you mean "dance"?

............................... 😉👍
Your second verse sounds like any time I've used a sleeping back. I always end up twisting myself, my clothes and the sleeping bag all into knots and have to fight my way out, but it was easily remedied. I just bought a double sleeping bag and no longer sleep in my penguin onesie! 😀
But on a more serious note, it sounds like you need to Bobby Mcferrin it. Just listen to don't worry be happy on repeat and before long all those twists will unkink and you'll be back to you're normal "mature warning" style! 😀
I do remember when overthinking was a problem for me, but thanks to long covid my thoughts now rub like syrup and rarely have two in the same day, let alone the same minute. I wouldn't recommend that as a cure though, because it ages you in dog years!
