Gray Morning

Embraced by a soggy morning
Heavy clouds filled with moisture
Hanging lower to the damp ground
They start to sporadically leak
Droplets plummeting to the earth

Humidity clings to the warm air
Thick with a foggy cool drizzle
The atmosphere is almost stagger
As the gray sky quickens its decent
Saturating the living world

Morning shifts calmly to afternoon
As the downpour ceases to exist
Leaving only puddles in its wake
As the wind builds up momentum
Bellowing its abrupt arrival

Blustery midday has turned cool
Warmth displayed with the rain
Chilling the bare skin with its touch
Icy fingertips glide lightly
Reddening exposed cold noses

A dreary spring day marches on
Souring the mood with slate color
And frosty temperatures that decline
Sleepiness washes over the mind
Creating the perfect days to slumber

The way you have described something so simple was...breathtaking! Such vivid details and I felt I really was outside, standing on my porch experiencing this. I've been able to embrace the rainy days cause it's much better than snow. Grateful for Spring each year after the gloomy winter months. I like most weather except cold. Anytime it is cold 🥶 it agitates me lol and snow or any winter precipitation can get bent unless it’s unusually warm and raining in the winter lol

Oh, I've had a few of these recently, but pray tell, what is this magical thing that happens of an afternoon where you speak of rain clearing? Here it is most likely on for the week at least, but if you believe the weatherologists, we are expecting a heatwave next week!!!
I've looked out my extra thick sweaters and waterproofs, just in case.
They said we'd be having sbow this week, so tmyes, I am currently rocking the t shirt snd shorts look right now! 😃

I’m not sure where you reside Lorry but if I had my guess it’d be Scotland, Ireland or England.

We can get snow here in April but not often. The blustery cold afternoon wasn’t any fun. It went from 47 ferh. To 30 by afternoon and super windy. It was a terrible weather day.

Today was 67 and yesterday was 74 ferh. Sunny both days lol we seem to be on a bipolar ride of another Nature here at the moment

We use the high one when it's warm and the low one when it's double-brrr!
Or at least I think we do, can't remember that far back though! 😀
