Quelling Droplets

I sit here trying to silence my mind
From the chaotic days, many events
Letting go of the trivial trials
That have transpired across this day

I let the pattering of the rain quell stress
Allowing it to wash away the ire
Becoming more relaxed deep inside
As the mind is engulfed by rain

Droplets tapping the shingled roof
It becomes drenched with sky water
As heavy clouds release their clear tears
Dripping with nature’s liquid renewal

Melodic with the soft constant splashing
On the saturated glistening ground
My mind softly wanders to pleasant thoughts
Of watching the rain trickle freely.

We all try to silence our mind at times, which usually lead to more questions than answers, but there can't be many better ways than to listening to the rain and letting the pinter patter melt away the noise from within.
Being Scottish however, I usually hear rain anyway,, real or some evil tinnitus, which keeps me awake anyway by making me rush to the loo, so I usually tend to listen to the mediaeval baebes playing low on my phone.
It's so good at emptying my mind snd sending me to dreamysleeps that I still haven't a clue what the complete albums sound like! 😃
I heard they even put Enya to sleep!😀
