Mind WandersA Poem by Poetic Beauty
Sometime my mind wanders through wastelands
Of barren loves left unattained And heated sand that blisters Leaving tiny scars upon the heart Small intricate patterns of art Shortness my mind wander through swamps Of yesterdays trials resolved Yet murky waters cloud my vision Blocking what’s already been cleared Wispy fog floating with what’s feared Sometimes my mind wanders through oceans Deep po swimming sadness unrealistic As tidal waves of emotions crash As the weight feels heavy inside Until there it a shift in the tide Sometimes my my wanders through the sky Of moonless grasping of things not seen Clouds that whisper splendid faerytales Lies that leave destruction in its wake Harsh words that bluster are only fake © 2024 Poetic BeautyFeatured Review
