Midnight Serenade

The brilliant sun has faded
On the horizon hours ago
Its splendor of colors set
Drifting away as twilight slips past

Mystery paints the quiet sky
As onyx takes center stage
Adding an alluring flare
My tired eyes gazing in a trance

Glimmering dots shine brightly
My mind sailing into peace
It’s dark waters ripple slow
Moon soaked clouds on the black sea

An owl chants a nightly tune
Serenading the ancient sphere
Calling to its wild nature
As midnight draws silently near

Magnificent images created here PB, portraying the night sky, the subtle changes, the mystery of the color changes from dusk to darkness, the change in moods the moon, the stars….a perfect setting to settle one’s mind, peaceful cosmos, a meditative moment, to reflect; an owl’s hoot May interrupt, yet sometimes it’s a friendly exchange at midnight. Yes I love the night and all its splendors. I do yoga, meditation prayers to God and write at night. It’s a routine but I also when warm like to watch the magnitude and magnificence of the night sky
