The Phoenix

Written 4-14-2021

Within the secret garden
A Phoenix lives contently
Spreading her fiery wings
Raising the body’s temperature
Invoking the heart to sing

She’s nested between the ribs
Quietly curled up sleeping
Scarlet feathers wrap around bones
Entwining a vibrating love
Constantly where the mind roams

Refusing to be silent
Blazing a colorful display
Hues of violet and red glow
Reflecting in the aura’s light
Parading love in a grand show

Always rising from the ashes
When thoughts surface of defeat
Viciously she will battle
For she’s fiercely eternal
Her existence won’t rattle

Soaring high with flaming breath
Devouring all inward doubt
Freely igniting this desire
Fueling pure untouched hope
For she never faulted or tires

My misuse definitely keeps me busy. I made a declaration to myself to write every day, a few months back, if only a sentence. I have only take two days off from writing to read a book.

The Phoenix in this represent my unconditional love for my Beasty as I lovingly refer to him. He knows this even though he prefers Mr Arizona. But he knows why I call him that. It’s about instead of fighting against it; I let it swirl and stay there quietly sleeping most day, with warmth

the phoenix rising from the ashes - what an uplifting analogy. i've never been one to have a lot of patience while waiting. as the old saying goes, "good things come to those who wait". this flows so well. determined ending. she sounds like one tough cookie (even a little dangerous) who will get what she wants. very well done ... :)

The Phoenix represent my love for as I lovely refer to him as Beasty or Mr. Arizona. It has been!almost 14 years since we have lived in the city let alone state. We are friends and text frequently.

My love for him is always present always there. There times I get frustrated with the situation and want to not feel the love. I have learned over the years that makes it worse. I accept it for what it is and that it’s always going to be and live my life.
