Rising Dream

Written 4-4-2021

Slumber is on the horizon
Slowly floating in closer
Lingering with calm patience
As twilight creeps, fading to night

It’s finger massage softly
Relaxing the chaotic mind
Softly probing the brain to drift
Soaring on white moon lite clouds

Feathered onyx wings caress
Wrapping pleasantly with warmth
Guiding with cosmic intent
Stars become nature’s dim night light

Body relaxes with ease
Calming vibrations ripple down
Seeping within deeper layers
Eyes flutter close quietly

Dreams meander near the surface
Whispering hope within the dark
A balm to the aching soul
Longing, rises to the ether

I love the images in this poem, sleepy tale of quiet, relaxation, drifting of the mind into a perfect space; perhaps in a cosmic world where light is dim; moon sleeps stars snooze; where breath is utmost; eyes close slowly and one drifts into slumber. I' getting sleepy!!!

dear Beauty... dreams can be a Mystery... that
cannot really be interpreted. It is similar to a parallel Universe.
Or one could think of dreams being shuffled like a "deck of cards"
that may be interpreted in many ways... but we prefer a "winning hand".

For those who suffer from insomnia, this is the cure. Nicely-lulling visions to help a person let go of the strife & angst gathered up on the road of life so he/she can stumble into slumber-land. Your words are not only for the insomniac, but also a good antidote for those addicted to the strife & angst as shared incessantly thru-out the public discourse.
