Sunset paints the western sky
Brilliant hues of red and purple
Brushstrokes of a Master Painter
Content with His unique art
Masterpiece created with heart

Cactus dotting the horizon
Beneath the descending red sun
Desert sand sprinkles the landscape
Cooling as night slowly creeps in
As His new version begins

Shadows fall across the land
Stretching out in all directions
Transforming into dark beauty
Full moon shines with silver luster
As He splatters star clusters

The Artist designs the whole world
With each single breath He inhales
Exhaling as day shifts to night
Nature waking with the sun
Breathing when night has begun

PB you know me i may go off the trail but food for thought, back in the day I'd paint old victorine houses and bring them back to life, here i see life in all forms in one part of the world, you've opened up my eyes because i can visualize your words as i read it allows to capture the monument in time, when we ask " is there a god the master painter of this beautiful creation. thank you for sharing

I see God as The Master Painter. He creates everything around us. For me it is a more personal feel. I feel more connected to Him thinking about Him creating all the beautiful things in nature. Gives the feeling that He is around us all the time not just sitting on a thrown up in Heaven

I have not been to the desert/Arizona. I have been dreaming about it since my friend returned home about 11 years ago. I guess he sends imagery my way through dreams lol

How beautifully you draw the picture of setting sun and the colour co- ordination. After that a luminous sky... You know, I love sun sets and the colour combination... I can organise a gallery of setting sun photos... Coming to your poem it's awesome... The master creator painted it and you gave us a mirror to reflect that beauty...

Thank you for you kind words. I guess for me I have always seen God as a Master Painter. The beauty he creates is everywhere and it allows for a more personal deep feeling of being connected to Him.

I have not written a poem like this one for a long time. I believe that God is in all His creations and if we learn to enjoy nature and see it we will feel His presence more often and on a more personal level. These are my thoughts and feelings
