These pages are filled
With ardent musical notes
Making the ears listen
And pulsing heart elope

These pages dance with love
Twirling with complete ease
Swaying in your direction
Only wanting to please

These pages are magical
Wrapped in blazing fire
Singing with midnight song
Capturing lover’s desire

These pages quietly float
With light feathery wings
Speaking soft poetic words
A passionate tale they sing

These pages glow brightly
Scattering silver light
Illuminating our minds
In darkness allowing light

These pages speak of many things
Topics always changing
Leaving pieces behind
A puzzle that’s rearranging

I thought of all my notebooks, handwritten poetry over the years. Some completed poems, others half started and then some, maybe one liners. A collection of my poetical thoughts on a range of different topics. I thought of all the effort and love, yet alone hours spent composing. Sounds like it's time to find places for the piano and violins, the horns and drums or to lay down the lead and bass lines for the guitars. I love music. Everything is a song to me. Words sing. Nature sings. Art sings. Beauty sings. I've heard some beautiful songs in my life and the most precious had no words at all; a newborn baby's cry, a puppy lapping water from a bowl, the growl of my father's tractor heaving up the soil. These are just a few sweet memories. I like the ending lines here about puzzles rearranging. Our lives are just so I believe and art, especially great art, should reflect life. Great writing. I enjoyed the read.

I’m old school and write every poem by hand in journals. It helps my creative process get moving. Some pages look like chicken scratch. I have now moved to pencil so I can erase mistakes. Final copies go in different journals.

We all have a different method that words and I feel all poets and artists leave a bit of the essence and being within the pieces they create

This is a stand-out poem on many levels. First & basically, your wordcrafting is humming with strong rhyme & rhythm while expressing your sentiments primarily thru vivid effusive imagery. Next, you do a great service to writers, many of whom denigrate their efforts as if writing a poem were taking a s**t. I still write my poems by hand in hardback journals. I have filled many over the years. It started with loose leaf paper and then note books but I’ve found I love hardback journals as they look nice and keep them neatly in a book that looks nice.

I have one for Arizona poems aka my friend, one for Dragon poems yet another friend, and one for all other poems.

Handwriting allows the creative flow to slowly trickle out the process if needed. My muse is my creative part of my brain that calls out what I need to write about at that moment. It is not an outside object or person.

Written letters can really hold magic as they represent emotions of various kind. Sometimes they glow with joy sometimes numb with pain, but when they were being read on a later date they unearth so many precious emotions. I have a tendency of writing my thoughts in diary and I usually don't read them now and then but when I do , it leaves such an impact on me seeing how I used to think on a particular thing... Yours poem is apt in that sense
