Lately I have been trapped
Deep within my own mind
Memories dancing about
Frolicking like faeries

Shifting from one moment
The cavorting to the next
Visions playing old games
Time becomes a bit hazy

The past bathed in desire
Punch-drunk on our romance
Crazed with ardent flavor
Twirling like pixies

Your sweet melody plays
An escape into our love
A fantasy that waits
Patiently to be relived

It comforts the beating heart
Yet arouses the soul
Leaving a sharp emptiness
As our story takes hold

Into the rabbit hole
Blindly diving heart first
Saturating the calm spirit
Reviving awaiting dreams

Longing for physical touch
Pleading to be held tightly
Aching for the peace found
Within your warm embrace

Breathing in your essence
As your scent surrounds me
Convincing me this is real
That my fairytale awaits

Adrift in this obscure plane
Mesmerized by fiction
With an ensnaring trance
Enveloping with fire

Vanishing into bliss
Consumed by your love
Locked in your arms I stay
Until dawn cast out the night

Nice work! Sometimes it's nice to immerse yourself in dreams, to block out reality and just feel good and secure, even if it's only for one night and the dream fades just as quickly as we open our eyes. How nice it would be when we could just close our eyes again and continue our dreams endlessly.

Thinking of him puts one self into a trance like state, it gives so much pleasure thinking about the golden days, but a sudden jerk of reality reminds that it is mere a dream, nothing is happening in reality, thus leaving with a profound emptiness.
