The RisingMoon

The RisingMoon

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

A brilliant full moon
Rises prominently
In the onyx sky

Her beauty glowing
Illuminating the earth
With a bluish hue

The world shrouded
In midnight magic
And in intriguing mystery

Dreamscapes form
Universes of wonder
To explore nightly

An escape from reality
All worries drift away
Easing the tensions of the day

Nothing like gazing into the night sky and pondering on the wonder of it all, especially under the auspices of a full moon with all its mystery. Certainly an escape from reality and that can be just what the Doctor ordered at times. A beautiful pen.

This poem just kind of wraps you in the inky darkness and allows you to sit quietly

A perfect poem that speaks of the silence and beauty and solitude of the night.

Gee
It is nice when the dead of night takes control of the skies. For those not sleeping the sky is to be marvelled and wondered at. I'm holidaying in Crete at the moment (back home Sunday)and the sunsets are magical and the night skies as dark as I've ever seen

I've always had a fondness for night time with the stars and the moon.
I love the moon... and your poem is a perfect expression as to why.

Such a night is, indeed, comforting; very much like being in a different, softer world.
Gorgeous imagery; amazingly apt perspective.
Work to be admired!

Thank you so much. I love the mystery and quiet that night time brings.
the beautiful moon is quite capable of doing this...if we stop to gaze, there is a calming effect for sure.

I feel the same way.
Ahh... 'the lunatic, the lover and the poet'... I too have romantic thoughts regarding the moon, and love the way her soft light enhances the landscape and illuminates the tryst of lovers.

A nicely constructed and reflective poem
