A ThousandA Poem by Poetic Beauty
Droplets of liquid salt
Tear stained, ink filled paper Melting by each sentence Smeared with emotions And forfeited exiled dreams Hidden within true words A thousand tears have been shed A thousand shards scattered A thousand miles shredded Journal lines blurred Ink, blotted out of existence Thoughts turned sorrowful Phrases slowly disperse Fervor washed in reality Belief choked in truth A thousand tears have been shed A thousand shards scattered A thousand miles shredded Forest turned to sand Desert scorches the green grass River of hope; barren Inkwell burnt and fried Charred in the Arizona sun Evaporating words A thousand tears have been shed A thousand shards scattered A thousand miles shredded © 2017 Poetic BeautyFeatured Review
