Melodic tones resonate
With forelorn beats
Banshee meters scream
Shrill sounds vibrating
Across the feverish night

Manic moving melodies
Proceed with panic speed
Elevating vocal dispair
Quivering with choas
Upon the midnight dew

Operatic chants sounding
Floating eerily on the breeze
Sharp notes piercing
Deafening the calm
Impish music sings

The screams of the banshee mean the end is nigh. Music reflects the soul. Modern music expresses modern man and so do you. I'll listen to impish music anytime. Anybody up for the Magic Flute?

I fear only music itself can do that. Music speaks directly to the emotions, to the heart. Poetry uses words and speaks to the mind which can then stimulate the heart's emotions. Words, I fear, are always of this world. To carry your readers into a realm outside this world you may need to conjure images of pure imagination rather than the remembrances of sounds. We are very visual creatures and words can evoke fantastic visions you can grab hold of. Music, however, slips away until it is recreated.
