dust off the old poems...reminds me of all of the poems on napkins that i find tucked in poetry books or my old poulin anthology...i look at them and think...geez i could do something with this...maybe i should mess with it...
we leave so many poems hanging in limbo..not quite finished...or ones we thought were awful and then see something salvageable ...
i relate here to this...maybe it's the Illinois connection..:)

I come back and finish them sometimes. Sometimes to get the juices flowing you simply have scribble thoughts down and like magic the words start to pour from the mind like a waterfall from the sky.

Amazing description for writing and to create. I like your description of opening the mind to the desire to write. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I wrote this because I had allowed cobwebs to clutter my mind and had neglected my love, my writing.
A poem all writers will appreciate. Yes, we have to dust away the cobwebs sometimes in order to get our thoughts arranged into a poem. I liked the rhyme in this. Lydi**

cobwebs clutter our minds if we don't take the time to dust them away. I am glad you liked this pie.. read morecobwebs clutter our minds if we don't take the time to dust them away. I am glad you liked this piece and appreciated it as a writer.
words are delicious to play with. They connect and disconnect all the same, but combine and build into wondrous moments and exhilarating sights and mystical magical mythologies. I enjoy generating new stories and editing/rewriting old stories and they always continue to ripen, refine, reveal more and more. This is one of those kind of pieces.
