ooo i like this...

dust off the old poems...reminds me of all of the poems on napkins that i find tucked in poetry books or my old poulin anthology...i look at them and think...geez i could do something with this...maybe i should mess with it...


we leave so many poems hanging in limbo..not quite finished...or ones we thought were awful and then see something salvageable ...

i relate here to this...maybe it's the Illinois connection..:)

I write my poems in the hardback jumbo journals and I find pieces I have left. I come back and finish them sometimes. Sometimes to get the juices flowing you simply have scribble thoughts down and like magic the words start to pour from the mind like a waterfall from the sky.
