Steam penetrates

The sultry air

Giving relief

That swirls

With molecular heat

 

Warm droplets

Dance upon the floor

As cotton embraces

The serene body

 

A satisfying shower

Is the perfect way

To end the day

what a great description of an everyday activity...and how unappreciated that activity actually is...we think usually of only the purpose of the shower...not the benefit of relaxation.

How relaxing. This is exactly how I spent last night (along with doing some homework), except I took a bath and not a shower. There is something about water that is particularly tranquilizing. I must say that you captured the essence of that tranquility quite beautifully and quite simply.

First I thought you were writing this down, whilst sitting in a jacuzzi, but a shower, is just as brilliant as I read further, on your ending.
