Sing melodies to me

In hues of purples

So gloriously pleasant

Ringing like wind chimes

 

Subtle upon the wind

Whispering words of passion

Encompassing every fiber

With comfort divine

 

A song of solace

That reaches the core

Submerging droplets

Soothingly sublime

 

Molecular fusion

A Soul stitching love

That whistles softly

Of amethysts notes

 

Soaring across the ether

Enveloping with ardent lavender

So cleansing and mild

Glistening with violet dew

 

A potpourri of emotions

Fly through the night

Plum voracity

Starting vibes anew

Thank you for your kind review. I love to add color to my poems. It helps to set the tone and mood; drawing on the emotions with more potency than if left out. I try to incorporate many of the senses into my pieces so the reader gets the full effect.

certain hues of blue and red for me are passionate colors also.. I had a friend that instead of collecting a thing like cats, pandas etc.. She literally collected the color purple.. She had what she called the purple room where she collected only things that were purple to display.. It was quite beautiful..

It sounds beautiful. Blues have many different meanings for me depending on the shade and reds can be passionate or angry or many other things again depending on the hue. All colors have feeling for me and some of them tastes as well. I use taste a lot in my poetry as well actually I try to use many of the senses in pieces.

Ahhh . . . This doesn't want for love and passion, my new friend. Your stanza's create an almost hypnotic effect as the reader (me) reads to the end, and in the end there is a future quite possibly in the making for the two who have made the connection. A very good read.

That is a good thing, in both cases. It is a whole lot easier to write love poetry when you know love.
