Lady Night dances

Under the moonlight glow

Gracefully spreading her wings

Reaching her feathers

Across the midnight sky

 

Glittering the horizon

With twinkling stars

As the peace begins

To spread silently

Across the sleeping land

 

She entices lovers

With her shielding veil

The romances the heart

As to sets of lips

Caress and reunite

Your words flow as if they were never meant to be apart. Many times I read or write poetry myself that forces the reader to stop and reread a line either to understand it or get their bearings, like perhaps they skipped a line.
