Mother Willow TreeA Poem by Poetic BeautyMy mother is much like this treeCome lay your
melancholy head Beneath my draping
branches Let the teardrops fall
with abandon As I wrap these
willowed fingers Around your convulsing
body
Let the salty droplets Fall like nature’s
rain Hidden completely From the world’s
prying eyes
Rest your breast Upon the mossy ground As tear stains are
absorbed Into the healing dirt
below Soothing the aching
soul
My roots shall drink In your unwanted salty
tears Swallowing up the
unwanted misery
Your essence of sorrow Spreads sodium
reminders To the lefty greens Of how solitary Human life can unbearably
seem
Hush now young one I am here to ease Your solemn mood Sheltering from the
world That may not
understand Your need to grieve
